charming castle stay

great staffbirthday treatreception issues

the castle was beautiful. the staff was really great. it was my birthday treat, i took me and two dogs away for two nights.

i understand that can be an awful stressful job. the women on reception just doesn't seem to care about issues to room as we had no tea or coffee and no water glasses! she informed us that it was not her fault and that she couldn't do anything about it.

The restaurant provided excellent food, especially the steak. It melted in my mouth. the breakfast was plentiful and good, offering a good culinary experience. the hotel offers room service, so guests can have meals delivered to their rooms.

The staff provided WONDERFUL service. I asked for coffee and they made a fresh pot. It was served cutely on a tray.

The hotel felt tired and run down. The receptionist gave us a swipe card, but the room door needed a key. I had to return down three flights of stairs for the correct key.

the hotel features nice trails. it was easy to connect to edinburgh city center via bus. staff provided helpful recommendations.

the carpet on main stairs were very dirty. the shower only stayed warm for few minutes. there was no bath tub.
