the breakfast was fantastic and offered many choices. i especially liked the fresh fruit and pastries. the hotel grounds were pretty and the pool area was relaxing. the staff was friendly and helpful with directions.
The room was too warm, even with the air conditioning on. It felt centrally controlled. the shower had a small showerhead. there was no towel warmer in the bathroom! also the bathroom sink was tiny.

the air conditioning was not working properly in my room. there was no way to get fresh air, except by opening the window. the handle of the window was broken anyway, so opening it wasn't easy. also, the bed was not comfortable. i could feel the springs.

i must say room 11 was a nightmare. every evening, staff set up a bar right outside my door. i could hear every clatter of plates, every drink order, every scrape of cutlery. the staff weren't exactly quiet either when they dragged tables and chairs around after service.
The palace itself had a beautiful aesthetic. Staff were friendly to our needs. Breakfast was fresh and included a wide variety of options.
Our room was small. The air conditioning was not effective. There was also significant street noise when the window was open.

the poached eggs were delicious for breakfast. the outdoor space with its beautiful design, including the rooms, suited my needs well (i found a quiet corner to read).
