i found free guest parking at the back of the hotel. rooms were modern. the beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was great.

This hotel reminded me of a haven. Breakfast was excellent, really providing a lovely start to each morning. The staff was kind. Free onsite parking felt so convenient. I liked that the hotel is near local shops.

friendly staff excellent meal small room expensive drinks

the staff were really friendly. they helped us check in. we had a meal in the evening. it was excellent. the staff waiting at our table were very kind and professional.

the check-in was friendly. the room was small. the shower curtain had yellow stains on it. i found drinks a little expensive for the location.

mixed feelings about a recent stay

mediocre venue bar atmosphere

The bar lacked any real atmosphere. The barmaid barely acknowledged us despite a £24 spend on three drinks, it felt quite mediocre. i remember my wedding reception here years ago, back when this place was known for special occasions. It's disheartening to see it now. thirsk has many other options, a shame because this venue could do so much better with some attention.
