acceptable stay overall
friendly staff coffee facilities cleanliness standard extra charge
the staff were all polite and friendly. the hotel organized an earlier check-in when i requested IT. The room had the usual tea and coffee facilities. The staff happily supplied water to my room when I asked.
the room required a higher standard of cleanliness. the radiator and windows NEEDED attention.

attentive staff easy parking excellent meal great portions
The staff there is super attentive. They showed me straight to my room. I found parking on the road was easy. Evening meals were excellent and portions are massive. I loved the breakfast room too!
The hairdryer needed to be cleaned more properly.

uncomfortable pillows overcooked bacon
The room felt a bit stuffy because the radiator stayed on all night, and i struggled to adjust it or turn it off so i had to leave the windows open. the pillows provided were not very comfortable though, they felt quite flat. breakfast the first morning was disappointing. The bacon was overcooked, and i had trouble cutting through it. it was really hard to eat it because it was so crispy, almost burnt, which affected the overall enjoyment of the meal.

the staff were very friendly and accommodating to my dog providing a bed towel and bowls. breakfast offered many options it was fantastic. i also found the location great for dog walks as the side door led to a woodland walk it was very convenient.
