The staff greeted me with warm smiles. This. My room had lovely decor, specifically a charming historical theme I found good. The dinner options featured excellent choices. I also found parking quite accessible, a big plus for me.
I noticed the church bells rang every hour throughout the night. This slightly disrupted sleep.

warm welcome high standard needed facilities
All staff offered a warm welcome and were helpful. The age and character of the hotel. The rooms provided all needed facilities to a very high standard.
The hotel car park was dreadful.

The bar and lounge area was WONDERFUL!!! It included outside seating. There were cosy lounge areas with log fires blazing. Someone clearly considered every detail to achieve a perfect dining experience. The hotel includes free parking.

well equipped room steak sandwich good breakfast
the superior double room was well equipped and worth the money. the ham and steak sandwiches were exquisite. breakfasts set you up for the day, it was a very good start.
the entrance to the free parking is via very tight gates, i saw marks where many cars have hit the walls.

heavy curtains marvelous mirror solid brick wall mid range room
the room had sumptuous heavy curtains which were perfect (i slept like a baby). the bathroom was also high end and beautifully thought out with a marvelous mirror that was lit and adjustable.
i stopped two days in a mid range priced room. it looked straight out on to a solid brick wall (only 3 foot from the windows).

The hotel's car park is located on New Street, directly across from The Talbot pub. The entrance can be a bit narrow, so it's easy to miss. The postcode for the car park is HR8 2DX.
