excellent central stay!
comfortable beds towel warmer accommodating staff
i found the beds very comfortable. the bathroom included a towel warmer, a plus. robes and slippers were provided. the hotel staff were accommodating. i requested four extra pillows, and they were delivered to my room quickly.
the rooftop bar service was slow (it wasn't busy). i waited for 40 minutes. i left without service. it seemed there was a distinct impression that tourists were not very welcome.

the breakfast buffet had a wonderful corner with local delicacies (especially the horchata!). breakfast was super. i would like to see more vegetables.

it is one of the most central hotels in the area. the hotel is perfectly placed to see the city on foot. the beach, markets, historical sites, and great restaurants are close.

rooms had everything you could desire. there was tea, a nespresso machine, and a fridge. the hotel has a wonderful shower and great toiletries. wifi worked well too.

eduardo at reception offered me an upgraded room. he also allowed me a later check out the following day. the front desk staff were always very friendly and helpful.

excellent location lovely breakfast
the location was excellent, close to both the port and the beach. i also enjoyed the lovely breakfast they offered.
the rooftop bar staff seemed a little slow at times.

The breakfast buffet was quite extensive. It had many options.
The rooftop bar was underwhelming. Service was slow. It took an unreasonably long time to get someone's attention. the gym was tiny, and one of the treadmills seemed to be out of order.

a fairly decent stay
central location blackout shutters rooftop bar shabby gym cleaning noise extra water charge
the location was central. i could easily walk to various attractions. the room had blackout shutters, which i appreciated for restful sleep.. the breakfast included local delicacies, like horchata. the rooftop bar was definitely a bonus.
I found the gym rather shabby. it was difficult to have a proper workout. the cleaning staff created noise for hours in the afternoon. It was not easy to rest. i was charged €8.50 for water i requested to my room.

adequate but unremarkable stay
unstocked minibar insufficient shade
the minibar was not restocked daily, and i had to call several times to get it replenished. this was inconvenient. the rooftop terrace lacked sufficient shade during the day, the sun made it impossible to use without discomfort.
