excellent overall stay

i stayed in a well appointed large room. it included two chairs. josh and his team accommodated a last minute dinner request for many people on a busy summer evening. they were friendly all weekend.
The breakfast was sadly lacking. there were no prunes or grapefruit. The fresh fruit selection was limited. yoghurts ran out quickly as did croissants.

amazing stay!
fresh breakfastrear terracelovely surprisesuperb meal
the breakfast was fresh and cooked to order, a lot of options were available. the rear terrace was nice as well as the tables on the high street for drinks (loved this feature!). i was upgraded to a better room, a lovely surprise after a long walk that day and needing to rest. the restaurant meal in the evening was superb.
i found that nearly all the dishes we had were over salted. it's a minor issue, but still worth mentioning.

the hotel benefits from being located on a pretty village high street. tables are available on the high street for drinks, so one can thoroughly enjoy the surrounding area. the location is fantastic.

the family room had a great layout. bunk beds are in a separate area so children could sleep while i watched tv. anya greeted us for breakfast each morning. she was very attentive!

the hotel gave me a warm welcome and the staff offered help when needed. i found the location easily accessible and the bar had a great atmosphere on friday evening. the rooms in the coach house behind the hotel featured everything needed for a comfortable stay.
the breakfasts were sadly lacking, with limited fresh fruit and bread on offer.
