Excellent Stay, Spacious Rooms and Great Service!!!

detailed instructionsconvenient parkinggenerously sized roomsofa bed
I was impressed by the warm welcome during check-in. The manager gave detailed instructions regarding the room's location, parking, and breakfast. The room, situated in a separate cottage, provided easy access and convenient on-site parking. I found the room to be clean, generously sized, and equipped with tea and coffee facilities. The addition of an extra TV and bed and sofa in the adjoining area was a great feature.
The walk to my room was a bit of a distance. This could be problematic with mobility issues.

the breakfast was good and the location was convenient for shopping.
we were placed in a cottage away from the main building, something i did not expect. the cottage felt damp and had very steep stairs. this setup isn't suitable, especially considering i have limited mobility (why didn't they mention this beforehand?).

Excellent Christmas Stay

Everything felt great. I loved my large ground floor room, I asked and got exactly what I wanted. A nice young girl even got us included in their Christmas Day meal when I booked too late. We ate there on Christmas Eve also, the food was superb. I had the best Christmas stay in a long time.

uneven experience at this hotel

poor toiletslimited furniture
I was pretty annoyed. the pub toilets were just not up to standard at all. also the food was disappointing considering the menu seemed promising. the cottage we were given was not near the inn. It felt far away. i also didn't like that our room had only one chair and no drawers for clothes.

The room was located in a separate building, not on the main site (i wasn't informed about it beforehand). this building seemed quite old. The layout was also odd. the nights sleep were not ideal because of constant noise from the upper floor, that caused windows to rattle.
