lovely stay at charming location

beautiful groundsfilter coffeebroken treadmills

the hall and grounds were very beautiful and dan was so cute. he even remembered our onwards plans on day 2 of our stay. the room was even better than it looks online and had a fabulous kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine. a filter coffee machine was a nice surprise.

the gym was really bad, with 2 treadmills broken. poor weighted machines also meant i couldn't really do a full gym session.

the restaurant was not open when expected! the staff seemed rude when my husband asked about it, especially since they were just chatting. the boiler wasn't working when we arrived. this did get fixed, but it was still frustrating. the lack of open facilities really ruined the stay.

the hall gardens accommodation was satisfactory.

our family apartment was not good because it had mould. i observed it above the curtain rail in the lounge and behind furniture in the bedrooms. the pool was too cold , so some guests did not swim. the restaurant was not open either.

i enjoyed seeing sheep and lambs in the fields from my windows the main hall included a beautiful fireplace and piano music. the apartment provided everything i needed with a great layout. the staff thoughtfully sorted out a romantic getaway package for us, i really appreciate that effort. accessing the pool and car parking was very convenient.

the tv in the bedroom did not work , a minor inconvenience.
