Historic Charm, Refined Comfort

building character tea selection prime location
I adored the building's character. It reminded me of stepping back in time. The provided tea and coffee machine made the lounge very inviting and relaxing. The location was prime, allowing simple exploration of the botanical gardens and nearby dining options. Staff ensured it was clean.
I found navigating the hotel a little difficult. There were some confusing areas. The elevator does not reach all rooms, so luggage transport upstairs is necessary. This needs attention.
Location
9/10
The hotel has easy access to the city center and local gardens, perfect for a romantic stroll. Restaurants and shops are also nearby. The setting allowed quick exploration.
Service
9/10
The reception staff members were notably friendly, helpful, and very accomodating. They gave assistance with directions and recommendations for local attractions. I was happy with the team's attitude.
Rooms
10/10
The room displayed beautiful colors alongside carefully chosen local art. Quality linens adorned the very comfortable bed and fluffy towels were supplied. I loved the space.
Dining
8/10
Delicious cookies waited in the room on arrival. A sweet welcome gesture. The breakfast offered a minimal selection but was of high quality. It was a great start to my day.

underwhelming stay, sadly

street level windows limited breakfast
the location, i must admit, suited my plans okay.
The room i got was kinda a letdown though. i booked it, read "lower ground floor", but didnt expect the windows to be, like, basically at street level. was like being in a fishbowl, with everyone passing by able to peek in. the brekkie, too, wasn't much. Pretty limited with no eggs even. what gives?

the location was quite good for accessing the nearby botanical gardens.
i was disappointed with my room it was an observatory legacy room located on the lower ground floor the pictures online did not accurately show how much it reminded me of a basement with limited natural light furthermore the breakfast was quite sparse offering little variety and no eggs.

Fantastic Stay in a Historic Landmark

historic building excellent location modern updates
I appreciated the building's transformation from a university science building to a hotel. The location was excellent. I walked to many nearby restaurants. The building had historic charm and modern updates (a great combination).
My room lacked sufficient drawer space for clothing storage. I lived out of my suitcase.
Rooms
9/10
The room had high ceilings giving a sense of space and included modern amenities. It was spotlessly clean upon arrival and well-kept . I found it very comfortable and relaxing.
Service
9/10
The reception staff was helpful, offering assistance with directions and recommendations. They readily stored my bags when i arrived early and were happy to provide information about local attractions, a valuable service.
Facilities
8/10
The hotel included a lounge area where guests could relax with complimentary tea and coffee. The building was beautiful. It also had a cinema.
Location
10/10
The hotel is located directly across from the botanical gardens. It provided a quiet environment and easy access to the city center. Cafes and restaurants were within walking distance.
Dining
8/10
A continental breakfast was offered daily. I found it to be good quality. The breakfast room was small, so there was little space between guests during peak hours. the staff was efficient.
