Satisfactory Stay

fresh fruit convenient location bathroom door dressing table
The breakfast offered a good selection. Fresh fruit was available. The location was convenient to both the beach and the town. It was a walk of about 10 to 20 minutes. I appreciated the easy access to nearby bus stops. They made trips to Exmouth or Sidmouth simple..
The bedroom had some issues. The bathroom door showed water damage from the shower. The room lacked a dressing table. I thought additional table space would improve the room. A large wardrobe was provided, but less storage and more table area would have suited me better.

Really good Hospitality and Comfort

warm welcome bright dining room valley view easy access
Brian welcomed us warmly upon arrival. The dining room was bright and comfortable, a great place to start the day. My room had a view of the valley (i loved it). The hotel's location allows easy access to the seafront.
The room could have benefited from a small dressing table.
Dining
9/10
Breakfast included a varied selection of fruit, yoghurt, and honey. Cooked options were prepared according to preference. Eating breakfast outside was a lovely experience.
Rooms
9/10
The room was spacious and had two large windows that overlooked the back garden. The bathroom featured a large power shower. Windows could be opened for fresh air. It was quiet and peaceful.
Service
10/10
The host, Brian, was genuinely friendly and helpful. He showed me all the areas within the hotel and my room. He ensured I had everything I needed. His welcome was really good.
Location
9/10
The hotel is situated a short 10 to 15-minute walk downhill to the seafront. It offers a quiet setting above the sea. The area is perfect for a relaxed seaside retreat.

clean room hard-working hosts table space damaged door
The room was spotlessly clean. The hosts work very hard for their guests. There are many restaurants within easy walking distance. I will stay here again when next in the area.
The bedroom needed more table space. There was no need for a large wardrobe. There was a broken seat in the bedroom. The bathroom door was water damaged from the shower.
