a nice culinary experience

tasteful decorationclean bedroomlocal produce
i found the public areas tastefully decorated. bedroom 1 was furnished beautifully. it was also spotlessly clean. the food quality impressed me the most. chef chris uses local produce and presents everything beautifully. any chef producing their own sausage, haggis, and black pudding deserves respect.
starters seemed a little overpriced for what they were.
Location
10/10
the hotel is situated in a very scenic, peaceful village. it provides a lovely setting wanting a quiet retreat. guests can enjoy pleasant walks and appreciate the natural beauty of the surroundings.
Dining
9/10
The restaurant offered superb meals. Everything was homemade and locally sourced. the five-course evening meal rivaled some of the best meals i have had in london and paris. the dishes are adventurous and high quality.
Facilities
9/10
the hotel features full glass sliding doors in the restaurant. they provide a beautiful view of the river. these doors would be ideal for enjoying the outdoors when the weather is warmer.
Service
10/10
The staff members are friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. i felt welcomed and well taken care of . their attentiveness contributed positively to my experience.
Rooms
10/10
the room was beautiful and spacious, with a coffee machine. there were also seats where i could sit and look over the river. the room's amenities added comfort to my stay.

The staff are lovely and willing to chat! Accommodation is beautiful and super clean. It was clear they take pride in their hotel. The food stands out with a very interesting menu. Breakfast included homemade black pudding. I found this amazing.

the starters seemed overpriced at £12. main courses cost over £20 and i found them lacking. my fish and chips were quite average and came served in paper. i expected more for the price. there was unpleasant school toilet conversation.
