The room was very clean. Bedding was fresh. A powerful hot shower was available. Tea and coffee were also available. Parking was across the road. It was behind the Indian restaurant. Staff in the restaurant were very accommodating.

Noise came from the pub. Music blared every night. I could feel the bass in my room. Hot water was unavailable the first night. Radiators could not be switched off.

The room was spacious and very clean. I liked the comfortable beds. I would stay here again. It is just down the road from the college, a great place to walk the dog before bed. The grounds are large, so I let her off the lead.

The hotel is near the race course and train station. It is also easy to access from the A74. I observed a bus stop right outside, facilitating easy transport. The hotel is not picturesque, it is practical for travel.
