a decent experience overall

lovely staffpeaceful settingmessy changing roomshouse fly

the staff was lovely. nothing seemed too much for them. the beautiful surroundings provided a very peaceful setting in the garden.

the spa changing rooms looked messy, as if they hadn't been cleaned recently. i also noticed a lot of house flies in the rooms and restaurants, a clear sign of a problem.

the location was beautiful and the swimming pool was such a treat, especially being heated in november. i liked that it was open. the atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed and calming. i appreciated the riverside walks too.

the staff was very friendly and helpful. my room was a superior double room. i had sky tv and complimentary water.

spa access was limited to my check-in and check-out hours. i wanted to extend it for free but the hotel asked extra money. it wasn't very reasonable for the price i payed.

Really good Rural Retreat

The staff provided complimentary car service to the nearby restaurants. The room had a spacious balcony, and i spent some time there. I enjoyed the yoghurt with blackberry pancakes i ordered for breakfast in the room. I took advantage of the spa, the heated pool temperature was just right.

I noticed visible dust on some table surfaces in my room.

The spa was a bit of a letdown. I saw a few too many house flies buzzing around, made me question the overall cleanliness. and the towels? reminded me of paper. Barely dried anything. it seemed some maintenance issues were neglected, leaving a slightly unpleasant impression.
