charming riverside retreat
pristine exterior good view convenient location neat décor
the exterior was pristine with cream paint with no blemishes. my room offered a good view of a mature tree and the river great ouse, complete with house boats. the inn is conveniently located near urban fresh restaurant and the cutter inn. inside, the décor was neat, carpets looked new and access was managed through a pin sent by email.
the light from the landing shone through the door at night.

access was easy thanks to a pin code sent via email before arrival. a helpful young lady served coffee in the dining room. staff ensured a smooth experience overall and seemed attentive to guest needs. the staff were nice.

the hotel sits right next to the river. urban fresh restaurant is very close to the inn. the cutter inn is also about 150 metres away from the hotel. both establishments feature riverside terraces.

i paused in the dining room and tried a croissant and coffee. i noticed scrambled eggs and crisp bacon were available. the breakfast selection included options suitable for a quick morning meal. the food was fresh.

phone issue shower mould
the location was nice and the buffet breakfast was acceptable.
I was quite disappointed in the level of service. There was no one available to help with my phone issue, and they spoke to me through the doorbell. the shower also needed a better cleaning as there was mould in it.

Really good Stay with Fine River Views
lovely view good food large towels
The location next to the river made for beautiful views. I could easily walk to the train station. the main area and cathedral were also close. Breakfast had good food options, with choices I really liked. The large towels were a bonus for me.

The breakfast included grilled sausages, bacon, tomatoes, and scrambled egg. Individual bowls contained fresh fruit salad. There were also croissants, toast, jam, marmalade, and cheeses available .

The check-in process was very easy to follow. The room had good toiletries rather than bulk buy types. Teas, coffees, biscuits, and two bottles of water were provided in the room.

perfect location breakfast variety
the location was perfect , right by the river and a short walk to everything i wanted to see. the room was clean , i really appreciated that. breakfast had a good variety , and i enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere in the breakfast room.
i could hear some noise from the corridor, especially in the morning.

superb room near cathedral
easy check in complete refurb good breakfast
i found self check in and check out very easy. the decoration was great, especially since i stayed in room 6. breakfast offered plenty of choice and was very good value for money.
i noticed there was no control over the heating in the room.

the hotel is in a quiet part of the city and it is only a short walk from the cathedral, i would estimate about ten minutes. the environment around the waterways is lovely.

high standard furniture clean bathroom nice river view breakfast quality streaky bacon barely cooked sausages
the room was furnished to a high standard. the bathroom was luxurious and very clean. there was a nice river view from the window..
the breakfast was not of premium quality. i would have expected decent bacon, not crisp streaky bacon with more fat than meat. the sausages looked barely cooked.
