lovely grounds beautiful building no staff ignored customer service

The grounds looked lovely. The building itself was also beautiful. I especially appreciated that everything was available on site. We could sit in the garden area, use the bar, then return to our room before dinner.

There was no one available at check out. This made it impossible to flag certain issues. I have been trying to contact the hotel's customer service team since January. I am constantly ignored.

the dinner was excellent, i suppose.

The check-in process was a mess. There was no one at reception when i arrived. i waited quite a while. it wasn't the greatest start to my stay. It made me wonder if anyone was actually running the place.

big portions lovely atmosphere

i ate evening meal in the pub. it was lovely with big portion sizes. i had eggs benedict for breakfast. i would have preferred juices to be available to help myself.

i found tea and coffee facilities limited. i only had two teabags and two sugars. i also had to purchase milk. there's no shops near.

my room was big. it had own patio area. i found the jacuzzi bath perfect. it was nice to have a separate area to relax with patio to enjoy the autumn.

The room was very cozy. The bed was comfortable and provided a great night's sleep. The restaurant offered excellent food. Staff were also very attentive.

The phone in my room did not work. It made contacting reception difficult when i needed assistance. The bluetooth speaker in the room couldn't be used. I found this disappointing. The speaker looked to be connected to a different room.
