charming stay in a historic building

real alequiet roomcomfortable bed

i enjoy establishments that offer real ale , and the landlord here is clearly passionate about it , so that was great. i stayed in the georgian building across the street , a former hotel undergoing refurbishment , something i particularly appreciated. the quiet room and very comfortable bed gave me a much needed good night's sleep after a long day of travel.

My double room was located in the building across the street. It had high ceilings. the room featured simple decor and comfortable furnishings . the bed was particularly comfortable.

the staff were helpful with directions to local attractions. check-in was straightforward and efficient. i requested an extra pillow and it was promptly delivered to my room.

spacious roomsuperb foodrun down exteriordirty floor

I enjoyed the spacious room. it included a microwave, fridge, and kettle. the food in the bar was superb. I especially liked the guinness.

The exterior of the building looked quite run down. It didn't give a good first impression. i found a dirty floor in the bathroom. That was disappointing.
