A Step Back in Time with Modern Comforts
historical building comfortable bed freshly cooked breakfast
The building exudes history and character. The room was spacious and had a very comfortable bed. I found the breakfast to be freshly made to order. The choice was quite extensive, and I appreciated that.
The hot water took a little while to arrive at the tap.

My Classic Double Room was well-appointed, spotlessly clean, and offered modern amenities alongside historic charm. I noticed wine and beer glasses provided, and enjoyed the complimentary biscuits and refreshments provided daily, a lovely touch.

The hotel's on-site parking added great convenience , and it was reassuring. I found the short walk to the town center very manageable , and it was beneficial. Free wifi was accessible throughout the hotel , which was great.

Acceptable Stay but Lacking Attention to Detail
carpet stain unclean coffee machine
I found issues . There was a noticeable stain on the carpet in the room. the in-room coffee machine had not been properly cleaned. It contained residue from previous use. These oversights affected the overall impression.

A Romantic Escape
convenient parking cooked breakfast comfortable seating
The on-site parking was very convenient for our arrival. Breakfast was served with a wide selection, including a cooked breakfast made to order. The lounge area provided daily newspapers and comfortable seating.

a good experience
spacious room excellent shower boiled sweets
I found the room quite spacious with good cooking facilities. the power shower was excellent. It had great water pressure. i also liked the boiled sweets available in reception and the bedrooms, a nice touch.

just ok, i guess
The location was alright. It was fairly close to things. the room was also reasonably clean.
The shower was cold. i mean, ice cold. i asked about it, but nothing changed. Still freezing.

friendly staff easy car park cold shower no hot water
the staff seemed friendly enough and the car park was easy enough to find.
the room i stayed in, the superior cottage, had no hot water, i had to take a cold shower and it was not pleasant at all.
