the staff at reception were helpful when i arrived.

My room was very noisy, i think due to a nearby nightclub. The thumping music went on until 3am. i had closed the windows, but the noise was still disruptive. It made for a terrible night's sleep. the breakfast was also a letdown.

Check-in was easy and the car park instructions worked. i got two key cards and chose not to have daily housekeeping. this gave me a voucher for a free drink. my room was on a high floor. It was spacious with a nice bathroom and a powerful shower.

The breakfast was not great. The bacon and sausages looked raw. the staff seemed miserable and not very engaging. the hotel wants you to check in and out online. It feels impersonal.

the email told me to download their app and get a digital room key. i did this because they said it would increase speed and efficiency. the lights needed a plastic card to work, but it was not in the room.
