soft towelscomfortable bedswell equipped bedrooms
the grounds were superb! after a long walk, i sat in utter peace and tranquility watching the sun set across the lake, while ducks happily quacked around me. the bedrooms are well equipped with comfortable beds, soft towels, toiletries and a fridge. it had a kettle, tea, biscuits etc for a cuppa in the morning.
i didn't feel like it was a four star hotel.

the breakfast selection included fresh fruit and pastries. the gym had several treadmills and weights, so i enjoyed my morning workout. it's a large hotel with many walking paths, so i spent time outdoors.
my room only had one small bar of soap. i expected more toiletries for the price i paid.

the spa offers a range of treatments including massages and facials. Guests can access the swimming pool and the sauna, both were maintained well. i found the gym to be adequately equipped for a basic workout.

underwhelming experience
dusty roombad smell
the room was not great. it was really dusty and had a bad smell. plus, it felt small and hot. the dishes at breakfast seemed dirty, and they ran out of some supper options. i found this very frustrating.

I found the reception rooms were cute and the location was lovely. the rooms are great and clean. It had a hairdryer, kettle, tea, and coffee. the staff seemed happy and helpful to me. i noted direction boards for driving into the hotel at night need lights.
The steam room in the spa was out of action. i heard that the dinner menu was not the main menu. It was lounge menu because the kitchen was out of action. i think the hotel is more expensive than my usual choice for a hotel.

the classic twin room had two twin beds. it also featured a television and tea and coffee making facilities. i found the hairdryer useful for getting ready. the room included an iron with an ironing board.
some corridor lighting flickered briefly, but it was fixed quickly.

wow the grounds are huge. the staff allowed me to park my motorcycle close to the front door for safety. i really needed that because it's my baby. the room included everything i need, like two sinks.
the breakfast was okay, but i wanted more options. a bigger selection of fruit or a wider variety of pastries would make breakfast better.

this location is amazing because the hotel sits back off the road. the long drive up to the building really lets you know you are escaping the ordinary. it makes it feel like a secret getaway.
