Excellent Stay

complimentary minibar comfortable bathroom
I enjoyed the complimentary minibar including beers and coconut water. The bathroom was massive and very comfortable. I found the bed divine. It was probably the best hotel bed I have stayed in for many years.

really good villa stay

beautiful villa private pool attentive staff
the villa was beautiful and very spacious. the private pool was a great amenity and i used it frequently. the staff were attentive, especially natt at reception. breakfast offered a lot of choice.

the hotel offered tuk-tuks for transport around the hilly terrain. they arrived within five minutes of calling, this indicated efficient operations. staff at the restaurant provided a complimentary thai snack, i found this a very nice touch.

the bathroom was massive, it offered enhanced comfort. the bed was divine, it was probably the best hotel bed i have experienced in years. the minibar was complimentary, it included beers and coconut waters, stocked daily.

dusty surface damaged door
the tuk tuk service was prompt when i needed to get around the hilly hotel.
the room wasnt as clean as i would expect. i found dust on many surfaces and the bathroom door was damaged, parts of the walls were chipped. staff english proficiency was limited, this made communication difficult.

mixed feelings about this hotel

rude waiter inconsistent service
The hotel provided a free shuttle bus. That was convenient.
The waiter at embrace seemed rude. The service felt insincere. i observed he paid more attention to non-asian guests. i also had issues extending my stay. Initially, the front desk said it was impossible even if i was willing to pay.

little variety long wait
The breakfast lacked enough variety. The tree villa did not offer much privacy near the pool. People from the upper villa could easily see the pool area. Transportation from the room to the reception was exclusively via golf cart and sometimes required a wait. I waited thirty minutes once. The hotel should improve its service.

really good breakfast bathroom amenities insincere service unhelpful front desk
the room was massive and attention was given to the bathroom amenities. really good breakfast, i think. the view from the restaurant is lovely. i really loved the breakfast view.
the service felt insincere, i felt. i also noticed he seemed to be more attentive to other guests. another issue was when we wanted to extend our stay for a few hours since our flight was in the evening. the front desk initially told us the hotel was fully booked and an extension wasn't possible.

mixed feelings about my stay

chipped floorboards sewage odor
the room i had was not up to standard laminate timber floor boards were chipped and lifting i also noted ceiling paint peeling the bathroom emitted a sewage odor upon arrival there was a lack of soundproofing i could hear everything from my neighbors. the absence of nearby restaurants forced me to dine at the hotel restaurant where i found small portions for inflated prices.
