the breakfast hall featured very nice tudor decor. the room was large and overlooked a courtyard garden. it was quiet (a welcome change from the city).

i wanted a drink upon arrival. i sat down in reception and was told by a staff member not to sit there as it was reserved. there was no sign indicated this reserved status (it was quite strange). the bathroom was freezing.

The staff showed so much kindness, always smiling!!! i even had the door held open for me upon arrival. the location is amazing with a lovely, well-kept garden. i ordered a cheese and ham sandwich. It came with crisps and salad. the dressing on the salad was amazing!!!

the signs to the room numbers were either wrong or nonexistent, it was a bit strange.

the reception lady was very friendly and helpful. a staff member saw me relaxing in the garden and offered me cushions for extra comfort. the lady behind the desk was more than happy to bring more milk and sugar.

i enjoyed a really enjoyable afternoon tea seated in the conservatory with fresh, nicely presented treats. there were more than enough sandwiches, scones and cakes and service was friendly and helpful!!! the breakfast service included many options.

some decor in rooms is a bit outdated. i saw many steps in bedrooms and it may be unsuitable for someone with mobility issues.
