Adequate Stay in a Quiet Location

cute staffmoor viewlocal beerdark roomoutdated bathroomunclean carpet
The staff welcomed me warmly and were helpful. My room had a nice view toward the moors. I enjoyed a well-prepared breakfast with locally sourced ingredients.
My room felt rather dark. The bathroom required some updating. I found the carpet to be not entirely clean upon arrival.

The breakfast was tasty, setting me up well for my walks. The location is great for hikes. My room had big windows offering views of the countryside (i liked the trees!).
The bathroom needed more cleaning. The carpet was also not very clean. I think that the shower needed an upgrade.

small roominsufficient housekeeping
The initial impression was promising. the pub had a nice atmosphere upon arrival. however, the 'standard double room' was quite small, i felt a bit trapped in there. also, the promised daily housekeeping was not up to par. I spotted some dust under the bed and the bathroom floor felt gritty. i did notify the reception, but it didn't seem to was nice.
