Really good Dining and Service

attentive staff smooth check-in superb food
I recently concluded a three-night stay. The staff were attentive. I was greeted warmly upon arrival by Richard. Kathy and her team facilitated a smooth check-in. The food was superb, from breakfast to the evening meal. Jamie was always available. The team was attentive to my needs.
The room had single-glazed windows. Condensation formed on the windows, and the exterior window frames needed painting. The television did not function properly, so I could not listen to the radio.
Location
9/10
The location provides easy access to nearby shops. It also sits in a beautiful riverside setting, with the Tarka Trail located just outside the front door. This makes it a convenient base for exploring the local area.
Service
10/10
The staff were helpful and professional. The service included a welcome with tea, coffee, and mince pies during check-in. Fresh milk was provided daily in the refrigerator for tea and coffee, a thoughtful touch.

Average Stay, Some Disappointments

lovely stroll river stroll broken control cold water control
The location was good for strolling along the river.
The room interior felt dated. I could not shower because the cold water control was broken. I was told "thank you for telling us," with no apology when checking out.
