Acceptable Stay

fine viewsmodern appliancesaccurate descriptioncar parkpets policydogs presence
The location provided fine views of the estuary and the sea. The room was generally clean and well-decorated with modern appliances (i especially liked it). I booked a room that advertised a sea view and that description was accurate.
I could not get a car park space, made accessing the car difficult each day. I was not happy with that (to say the least).

Charming stay with fine views

engaging staffgood breakfastconvenient parkingbusy town
The staff were very engaging and helpful. The breakfast was good.. offering a variety of options. The venue was quiet and an easy walk to town, despite hosting a wedding. Parking in the main town car park was close enough which i appreciated.
The regatta week made the town slightly busier than usual, making access slightly more challenging, but the hotel garden offered respite.

mixed feelings about my stay

extra charges
the breakfast setup was annoying. i found out cooked options cost extra (£10 per dish!). it was not clear enough when i booked (my fault maybe?). i think it's just a way for the hotel to save money (staffing issues maybe?).

The staff was polite. They upgraded my room to a Double Room Sea View. The views of the estuary were AMAZING!!! Breakfast included a wide variety of options. I really liked the fresh pastries, juices, and hot dishes. I found the location convenient. It was a short walk to nearby shops and attractions.
The shower pressure was slightly lower than I prefer.
