hotel location luggage storage themed pub

the hotel location next to the fjord was excellent. i had views of the mountains and the river. the staff was helpful with luggage storage before check-in (and after check-out). the viking themed pub next door was a real highlight.

this hotel is close to the train station and the pier. the hotel is near coop supermarket and a bakery. i could easily walk to nearby restaurants and shops.

terry bathrobes clean room private balconies fjord view

i found terry bathrobes provided for us, a nice touch i didn't expect. the room was clean and i would say comfortable, also provided adequate storage. two private balconies showed us the grounds and fjord. a cruise ship docked nearby sometimes, but our room angle kept it from blocking the view.

the soap dispenser for shower, bath and hand wash, reminded me of soap dispensers in a common toilet, that was a slight disappointment.

the location is just steps from the railway station and the fjord cruise. many food trucks and other restaurants exist nearby. this proximity allowed for very convenient access.

dinner dishes were hearty, and i'd describe portions as generous. the pork knuckle had creamy mashed potatoes. the salad was very fresh and satisfying, a good start to the meal.

the room has nordic feel and modern amenities combined. a nespresso coffee maker was present, a small but important convenience. the bed had a comfortable feel and ensured we slept well.

My room had a nice balcony. The breakfast had a good range of options, it was satisfying. I also enjoyed the on-site pub. It had a special vibe.

The flusher was located behind the toilet seat. The bedside table was not flat so things slid off. It was attached at an angle. I find this design not useful.

the location was ideal. the buffet offered many choices. check-in was super easy and fast (i liked that!). the lady at check-in even organized a cab for me to go to the stegastein viewpoint.

the toilet had a terrible drain smell. the bathroom flooded any time i took a shower. it was poorly designed with no enclosed glass shower. i found multiple hairs on both sets of fresh towels.

the location was perfect near the train station i liked that. the breakfast was good and offered a great selection. my twin room balcony had a beautiful view.

the room felt a bit overpriced considering the amenities provided. the bathroom had a slight odor that persisted throughout my stay. the check-in process felt rushed and the receptionist wasn't particularly cute.

The location was very nice, right on the edge of the fjord! i tasted delicious beer at the bar. It was a great experience. it's very close to many things, like the train station and stores.
