the food was really good, i had dinner one evening and breakfast the next morning. staff were cute, and the room was VERY comfortable, more so than i expected.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast featured a large Scottish breakfast. I found a secure bike shed, and this was helpful for my travel. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what I needed.

auld jail stay
comfy bedwhite beddingscottish breakfasttraffic noise
the landlady upgraded us. the annex named the auld jail was across the road. rooms were beautifully refurbished and spacious. large comfy beds had crisp white bedding. breakfast had a huge full scottish. black pudding was gorgeous.
original single glaze sash windows allowed traffic noise. it affected my sleep slightly. i recommend double glazing.

the room was at the top of the hotel. i had to negotiate a treacherous staircase. the carpet was grubby. the room was also small. the window would not open, and i noted mould on the frame.
