lovely stay

accurate picturesensuite bathtubcomfortable bedvaried breakfast menu
the room matched the pictures exactly. the ensuite had a bathtub and included shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and moisturiser. the bed was quite comfortable, though one side showed more use and sagged a bit. breakfast took place in the pub, with several meal choices available on their menu.
Rooms
9/10
the rooms have comfortable beds and excellent water pressure. toiletries are provided, with milk delivered to the door each morning for tea or coffee. this is a nice touch, though the carpet in bathroom seemed a little dated.
Location
8/10
the location is in a quiet area, good. it is also a short drive to nearby towns. the area offers opportunities for long walks, and i found it to be generally quiet, though the parking was expensive!

poor menuslow service
The dinner menu was underwhelming with standard options like burgers and steaks. I expected something more special. My parmesan gnocchi tasted strongly of garlic and resembled potato wedges. The service was also quite slow during breakfast. I had to wait over 35 minutes for my meal, and my scrambled eggs were cold.
