I wasn't advised about potentially contaminated water. Boiled water was provided, instead of bottled water. I would have preferred bottled water.

I booked a room here and was really happy with the experience. the staff was so friendly and helpful. the food was a real highlight, especially the breakfast that gave me energy for the day. I was very pleased with my choice. the location near the river provided a peaceful atmosphere, though the signal in my room was poor.

the bathroom needed some updating, i saw some mould on the windows.

The inn is situated next to a river in a calm village giving it a very relaxing vibe. it is also a good starting point to explore the local area. Hadrian's wall isn't too far!

The room was really comfortable and included a lovely view towards the river adding to the peace. The room was also nice and bright. the tv was tiny. though the room wasn't too far from the pub.
