Mixed Experience, Some Issues Noted

acceptable mealpoor explanationmissing tea towels
The evening meal was acceptable.
The hot tub's wood-fired operation was not clearly explained, requiring assistance from a nearby resident. More wood was needed than mentioned. I also found the absence of some basic things such as tea towels frustrating.

Excellent Food and Cute Staff

thoughtful callamazing sandwichcomfortable bedscenic view
The receptionist contacted me before arrival to arrange a sandwich given my late arrival. I was also asked about my breakfast preferences. This was very thoughtful. I was greeted warmly and escorted to my room upon arrival. The sandwich was amazing on granary bread. The room featured a fan and radiator, alongside toiletries, and a quiet, scenic view.
The extension bedrooms seemed a bit worn and small steps presented a trip risk.
Facilities
9/10
Breakfast options included good quality items. Also the rooms had amenities. A PS4 was available with games and the option of drinks included.
Rooms
9/10
The family room was spacious, with a separate area for kids. This added a level of privacy for both adults and children. Comfortable beds helped to have a good night sleep. The room size suited our family well.
Service
10/10
The staff was friendly and helpful from arrival to departure. The hotel provided a warm welcome. The receptionist offered to make a sandwich knowing I would arrive late.
