Balanced Stay

walking routehistorical paintingssmall bathroominadequate light
The staff was helpful. One receptionist provided a walking route. The hotel had historical paintings and antique furniture. It was fascinating. I appreciated oat milk at breakfast. The lady at breakfast spoke about the Isles of Scilly.
The bathroom was small. The room needed updating. The light in the bedroom was inadequate. It hid the room's shabby appearance. The hotel felt more like a pub with rooms.

The restaurant food was great, especially the home-smoked salmon. It tasted fantastic. breakfast included perfectly prepared poached eggs. however, the sourdough served with the eggs seemed quite thick. the quality of the food fully met my expectations.
