the staff were very pleasant and helpful, ensuring i had everything i needed. the room was very clean and well-kept, with comfy beds perfect for a good night's sleep. they provided tea and coffee, as well as bottled water in the room. the evening meal was really great, with prompt and attentive service.
The staircase had low ceilings. I had to be mindful of my head.

the restaurant offers an excellent selection of food, including a varied dinner menu and fish specials. i found the restaurant very smart, and i appreciated the option to eat the same meals in the characterful bar. the breakfast was very good also.

the building has many original features i love, showcasing its rich history and beautiful architecture. i liked the convenience of free car parking available at the front and rear of the hotel. the hotel included a fabulous private dining room.

The food was GOOD , and the location suited my travel plans.
The room I booked felt quite cramped. THERE were no bedside lights , , made reading in bed difficult. the bathroom facilities did not meet expectations as the shower's temperature was hard to regulate.
