The room i got was spacious. Very comfortable beds were included! the staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. i think the christmas atmosphere enhanced my experience, it felt very cozy, really. the lady at reception, lydia, was excellent and very helpful. she is certainly a credit to the hotel. the staff went out of their way to assist with every request i had. the hotel retains its charm with a fireplace and comfy sofas. it. it's a short walk to the bar.

The bathroom light was hanging loose and blinking. the lampshade was also broken! i saw stains on the ceiling. also the handle in the bath almost came off. It felt really unsafe. i think the facilities do not justify the price.

I was THRILLED with the room upgrade I received. It had a seating area and a large desk! The breakfast buffet offered a wide selection of hot and cold items. Poet's Corner provided fantastic food. I particularly enjoyed the lamb dish. The hotel grounds were VERY pretty. I took many photos.

The room included a proper coffee machine that was acceptable.
The dinner was bad and arrived in three minutes so it was definitely pre-made. My full Irish breakfast was overcooked, dry, and missing beans, I had to ask for toast, it seemed confusing.
