great onsen experience

helpful staff open air baths bath delights
the staff was helpful and most spoke english well. the hotel location is near a train station. i liked the private open air baths. after the bath delights are also available.
the hotel rooms are a little small. it does have a japanese atmosphere. the hotel breakfast serves only japanese food with no choice. i had to go to restaurants outside the hotel for variety.
Location
9/10
the hotel stands very close to a train station. many tourist attractions are within walking distance from this hotel. the convenient location contributes positively to exploring the area.
Rooms
8/10
the superior double room includes a comfortable bed and clean bathroom. traditional aesthetics combine with modern comfort in the room design. the outdoor onsen on the balcony is big enough for two people.

amazing onsen experience!

public onsen private onsen spacious room
the hotel offers both public and private onsen facilities. i appreciated the traditional japanese style. our room felt spacious and well-kept (it was very tidy).
the breakfast offered only japanese cuisine with limited options.
Location
9/10
the hotel is conveniently located near the arashiyama station on the hankyu line. it's just a short walk to popular attractions (like the iconic togetsu bridge), ensuring convenient exploration of the surrounding area.
Facilities
10/10
the hotel provides complimentary amenities (such as access to private onsen baths). i liked the post-onsen ice cream and the midnight soy sauce ramen, they added a special touch. the free drinks available in the lobby were also a great perk.

inconsistent amenities and some issues.

bad breakfast no queue system
I found that the breakfast wasn't good at all. there wasn't A queue system for the private onsen, so it felt chaotic. the hotel didn't have ironing boards Available. They said there was only one for the entire hotel. i had a massage but it was painful and constantly interrupted, so it wasn't relaxing.
