lovely stay

spacious roomcomfortable bedlarge parkinglimited menu

a very spacious room provided robes and house slippers. linens were nice and the bed was comfortable. very large bath towels were available with a hot towel rack. the parking lot nearby was large and free.

i wasn't given right key for room and front door, it locked without us being advised. no staff members were on site and one of the other guests let us in. the menu had limitations.

the hotel offers common spaces to relax in. there were comfortable couches available to use and they were next to the fire, it was amazing. a waterfall shower was available.

the room, oh the room, was quite small , almost claustrophobic , i think. the so-called 'superior double room' was nothing more than a glorified closet. also , the breakfast was just sad , the eggs seemed suspiciously like they came from a carton.

I thought breakfast was good. There was selection available that tasted nice. The dinner menu allowed choices for the main meal. I liked the sides I could select. The hotel staff were friendly. They helped me know about the local area.

The single track drive had potholes making it a difficult arrival.

The location allows for rest and relaxation. Sheep roam around the lawns giving calming views. It has a view over the loch making it beautiful with clear sunshine.

friendly staffold carpetstrange smell

the staff seemed friendly. nothing was too much trouble at all.

the room was not great for what i payed. carpet looked very old. there was a strange smell i didn't like. dinner was a letdown to, it didn't even look like the pics i saw.
