The location was excellent! i enjoyed the freedom to walk the grounds. The peacocks and chickens added so much character. the staff was friendly and helpful. They were amazing.

The decor seemed outdated in places. Some areas could use updating internally. also, i found a few marks on the walls, and the carpets needed some attention. floorboards needed repair. They were quite noisy whenever someone walked on the landing.

i STAYED in a two-bedroom cottage. it was exactly as described, and picking up the key at reception was easy. the gentleman was friendly and explained parking, also that everything would be on at the cottage.

the room had cobwebs hanging from the ceiling , and the headboard was very dusty.

the grounds were quite nice and spacious (i especially liked the peacocks).

the bar closed very early on a saturday night, quite frustrating. i was told it would be open until 11 pm, but it was already closed before 10 pm. this limited our options for a late-night drink and i found customer service lacking as i didn't feel valued.

I found the setting quite beautiful. chickens and peacocks roamed the gardens, and they seemed very friendly. i enjoyed the walk behind the building in their small woodland area. It was a welcome escape. breakfast tasted delicious.

it did not specify how to get the keys. i also discovered the absence of a hairdryer. the staff told me that self-catering units don't have them.
