the staff greeted me like a long lost friend every time, a genuinely lovely welcome. i can highly recommend the radcliffe bedrooms (the bath in the last room we had was generous, possibly fit for three).

Really good Stay

The room had good space. It came with a renovated bathroom. I appreciated the friendly staff. Breakfast was great (especially the cooked breakfast!). I found the staff attentive at meal times. I enjoyed hot water and good water pressure.
During my visit for afternoon tea, the sandwich quality was disappointing and the cakes were not as expected.

the place IS a real find. The food was fine with quality ingredients and beautiful presentation. Breakfast was equally amazing and i enjoyed it very much. i stayed in hairy mary, a garden room that welcomes dogs, and it was a great experience.
Upon arrival, finding someone AVAILABLE to assist was a little challenging. Otherwise, everything WAS great.

an okay stay at the hotel

excellent breakfastfriendly staffstrange check-inuntidy table covers
the cooked breakfast was excellent and served by really kind staff. the room was spacious too. dinner was also delicious, although the menu was the same on both nights of my stay.
the check-in felt a little strange. there is no real reception. i stood right in the doorway to the back office at the reception. the table covers in the restaurant were not neatly laid.
