fantastic stay!
amazing locationvalley viewfriendly staffconvenient lunches
The hotel location is amazing. it is set in the beautiful langdale valley. there is great walking right from the door. the staff are friendly and helpful. I felt so welcomed! the lounge is nice. the food is good, and you can even order packed lunches, it's so convenient.
the bar closed a bit earlier than advertised, we wanted a nightcap but couldn't get one. the management didn't seem particularly user-friendly upon our departure.

the staff were great and the room was lovely. breakfasts and dinners were delicious, i thought. i really enjoyed exploring the local area . the food quality was good overall (the rhubarb yoghurt at breakfast was a standout).
the welcome upon arrival felt a little brusque, which wasn't the best first impression (it happens, i guess).

the location is great for walks. it has glorious walks right from the doorstep in every direction. this makes it easy to get out and enjoy nature (no need to drive everywhere).

my beautiful double room was beautiful. it had comfortable furnishings. the room was also quite cosy. rooms are more luxurious, i noticed.

the gardens around the hotel are lovely. plenty of parking space is available . the bar offers a warm, rustic atmosphere to relax. i also saw peacocks strolling around the premises.

the breakfast offered a fantastic selection of high quality food. i loved the fresh granary bread and perfect poached eggs. dinner in the bar had a warm atmosphere. evening meals were good value and good quality too.

the staff were very friendly and efficient. they provided quiet and attentive service. the barman was fairly new but very helpful. i found them particularly cute .
