A Calm Stay

I liked the terrace. The westerly views over the English country garden was pleasant. The setting felt lovely and gardens were well kept. Drinks and dinner were very good here.

The bar lacked consistent service upon arrival. I waited fifteen minutes with nobody serving. Reception was abrupt when I asked for service at the bar. More staff presence at the bar is needed.

the grounds are well kept, and quite beautiful! staff are very attentive, we enjoyed the country & western night. the buffet was fabulous, and our room was super clean.

The shower was either scalding or cold. Hard to control.

The grounds surrounding the building are gorgeous. I appreciated the free drink offered for our anniversary. The staff were helpful and kind. I found the location very quiet offering fresh air.

The absence of easily accessible parking for lodge guests who could have mobility issues needs a review.

The room featured a comfortable bed and views of the garden from the ground floor annex. Decor was five star. It had a very pleasant atmosphere. I enjoyed my room very much.

The staff worked hard to keep things moving and were courteous. Toni was helpful to organize a cream tea. Sophie and her team fulfilled our requirements for a coffee morning, awards ceremony and lunch flawlessly.

I found both dinners and breakfast good. The canapés and food for the new year's eve dinner were very good. I can definitely recommend the lamb dish served at the bar. Breakfast was excellent too

the location is lovely , with beautiful grounds. the staff were helpful, especially rachel, who provided directions for a walk. the food was very tasty , and the restaurant offered great value.

i found the room to be dirty. there was toothpaste on the taps , and hair on the bathroom floor. stains covered the remote control , and dust coated everything.
