The palace showed off its architecture. i liked the mahogany wood furniture. i also noticed the azulejo tile scenes. It added to the experience.

The bathroom needed some upgrades. it felt a bit obsolete by modern standards. Though i understand it's an old palace.

The staff provided excellent service and were always available. The breakfast buffet included fresh fruit and pastries. The walking paths and gardens surrounding the hotel gave opportunities for exploration. I especially enjoyed the bar. It was great.

The staff was pleasant. They maintained a professional attitude at all times. One waitress covered 50 plus breakfast covers. One bartender managed the evening shift, so the waiting time was sometimes a little longer.

The room had a comfortable bed and period decor. No air conditioning or modern bathroom amenities were available. The room included a bottle of water. There was no mini-bar, tea, or coffee maker.
