I adored the intricate details throughout the hotel. The craftsmanship was evident. the staff were friendly and helpful. our room, with its stable theme and exposed wooden beams for the price. the grounds are lovely, with many spots for relaxation and contemplation.

decent stay

gothic feel friendly staff broken heating limited selection
the building had a nice gothic feel to it. it looks better in person than in the pictures i saw. the staff were friendly and helpful .
the heating in my room wasn't working properly and clicked all night. it made it difficult to get comfortable without being under the covers. the dinner menu had a limited selection and the food quality was underwhelming given the price.

The hotel grounds feature a spacious and elegant design. The staff members were very friendly. My room had tasteful decorations. The hotel's proximity to the M6/A14/M1 Junction made touring convenient. The location is excellent, I must say.
The door had a faulty lock and was difficult to secure, it was reported but supposedly repaired.

Acceptable Stay with Some Issues

dual aspect lovely grounds comfy chairs many places worn room updating need dirty wardrobe dusty wardrobe
The dual aspect bedroom had character. The grounds were also lovely. There were many places to sit in comfy chairs. I found the location easy to find from the M1.
The room looked worn and needed updating. Taking the fan out of the wardrobe resulted in me getting covered in dust. The inside clearly hadn't been cleaned. I was on the second floor and my room was unbearable on a hot day. The fan was pointless.
