The room was acceptable. It had good air-conditioning.

The staff seemed untrained. I observed a young lady at reception with no social skills. she was not supervised while dealing with guests, which caused issues. the evening bar service also suffered from staff who seemed inexperienced with the tablet ordering system.

the breakfast was a real highlight with a huge variety of options. i especially liked the fresh fruit selection and the pastries. also the room was clean and well-kept. it had ample space for luggage and included a small balcony with seating.

The pool was surprisingly cold. I wish the hotel heated it, especially during the cooler months.

The location was superb, placing me conveniently near the beach and local restaurants! the room provided a lovely balcony, and i really appreciated the good air conditioning. Small treats looked each evening. i found the breakfast to be plentiful. The variety of options suited everyone's tastes.

Sound from the street intruded slightly upon the otherwise relaxing atmosphere. i used earplugs and then, it was totally fine.

My room included good air conditioning and a nice balcony. It created a comfortable place to relax. the room was very clean upon arrival and housekeeping maintained this standard daily. i had ample space for luggage, and the layout was very functional.

Breakfast included a large variety of options each morning, which gave me plenty of choices. the option of sitting outdoors was available. This gave lovely views during breakfast. i found the food to be fresh, and the buffet was well kept throughout service.

Some staff members stood out. They were lovely and helpful when i needed directions! the reception area always had wonderful floral displays, which gave a nice welcome. the hotel generally felt very clean and well looked after.

the hotel is well located on a regular bus route, so it gave easy access to town. i noted the hotel offered a courtesy bus, though it only ran until the early evening! the hotel is just meters away from a shopping center, very convenient.

i found the free shuttle to central funchal very convenient. the hotel arranged tours included pickup and return. i appreciated the lido promenade access through the garden behind the pool. the room had a nice design and i was allowed to check in early.

The hotel design is beautiful. I arrived early and could check in. Breakfast included an outdoor seating area for coffee. Many restaurants are within a short walk. The hotel provides a free shuttle to the city center. Tours offered pick-up and return service at the hotel.

Decent Location, Some Disappointments

The hotel has a location allowing for easy access to the coast.

The room I had featured a so called 'mountain view', but it looked directly onto a busy street. The traffic noise was constant and ruined any chance of relaxing. I found it irritating that I needed to pay extra for the room safe. This should be a standard amenity, not an additional charge. It seemed like they nickel and dime you for everything.
