I stayed for three nights in february. the villa was beautiful. i was impressed by the well kept grounds. It was obvious the staff takes great pride. the restaurant view was lovely and i savored every moment!!!

the artwork was slightly dubious, though that's just a matter of personal taste.

the breakfast offered a costa rican theme with plantains and gallo pinto. a buffet included fruit, juice, pastries, and cereal. i considered the meals good.

i enjoyed the lush greenery and landscaping around the hotel. the front staff was helpful when i needed assistance. my room had a high ceiling, something that enhanced the overall atmosphere. the balcony offered nice views and felt very private. i appreciated the walks through the well-kept grounds.

The lack of air conditioning was a bit of a challenge for me. I would have really preferred a cooler room temperature.

everything is at your door step with 16 miles of hiking trails and several waterfalls. the dining room has amazing views over the valley and san jose's lights. the food is farm to table and very good. i found that it is best to have a car for day trips to sites nearby.

the sliding doors and windows did not slide easily and were not fitted tightly this allows insects easy access. tiles were falling off the shower area there was also inadequate dated furniture.

I discovered trails covering 17 km on the premises. I saw three waterfalls during a two-hour hike. The grounds feature a greenhouse growing produce. goats and chickens. I loved the absence of air conditioning, because nights were cool and comfortable.

My room contained bugs plus a swarm of ants by the toilet paper.. I suspect poor cleaning, as one of the windows would not shut fully.

the grounds were AMAZING!!! flowers and plants were everywhere. i especially loved the hiking trails. the pools were a delight too. i could have spent all day at the spa. the open arm warmth of care was good. i seemed like royalty.

i stayed for just one night before i flew home. i had to make reservations for dinner and breakfast. the food took a while to appear, testing the kitchen. the meals were good but nothing really good.
