A Good Stay in a Historic Setting

The location is great for walks into town. It took me 40 minutes to reach dining spots. I especially liked that the hotel offers bus services to Covadonga Lakes. The building itself is a beautifully restored monastery with its own chapel! The gardens are very pretty too.

Lucia at the restaurant was particularly nice and helpful. She answered all my questions with a smile. I noticed the staff could not have been more helpful even when they were very busy. The staff were generally very friendly!

i was grateful for the accessible parking and easy access to the mountains. i found information boards explaining the history of the monastery with sections in english. it was also an extra unexpected treat to find a free concert in the onsite chapel.

the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room was an inconvenience. the room overlooked the bins and that wasn't ideal.

I found the service quite disappointing. It seemed disorganized. also. The room's temperature was difficult to regulate! it was either too hot with the heating on or too stuffy since i couldn't open the window because of mosquitoes.
