the welcome at arrival was very warm. the bar had a fine range (a stroud brewery beer selection stood out). dinner in the restaurant was special and was so great (i loved every generous element).

the room heating took some time to properly adjust.

i found the staff friendly. the gardens were beautiful, i strolled through them every morning. the food was delicious and seemed locally sourced which i appreciated.

the room was a bit too warm, i couldn't quite adjust the temperature to my liking. the wi-fi was spotty at times, especially in the evenings. i also noticed some noise from nearby during the day, it wasn't constant but it was there.

the location offered amazing views. the staff was friendly. the room was spacious. i appreciated the shower had good water pressure. and the temperature was easy to adjust.

the breakfast lacked some options. there were no cheeses. i also noted a service charge on the final invoice, i have not seen that before. vegetarian dinner choices were very limited.
