central location helpful staff noisy room faulty ac

the location was central, i could walk everywhere! the breakfast was tasty and there was plenty of it. the staff were friendly and helpful, so i felt very welcome.

my room faced the reception, so it was noisy. the air conditioning wasn't working properly, so i had an uncomfortable sleep.

non-functional hot water disruptive kitchen

the location proved convenient for exploring the surrounding area.

on arrival, i found that hot water in the shower was not functional, a significant inconvenience. furthermore, the noise from the kitchen at 6 a.m. disrupted my sleep, given that my room was situated directly above it. this detracted from the overall quality of my stay.

reusable bottles sri lankan breakfast

The hotel's effort to reduce plastic use really impressed me. They provided reusable water bottles. the sri lankan breakfast was delicious and filling. i stored my luggage after checkout, helpful at the time.

The sound isolation from the outside yard was not very effective. Any noise in the morning came right through the door and the window.

extra charge unhelpful receptionist

The staff responded quickly to messages when i wanted to book the room. That was acceptable.

i found i was charged extra on arrival since there were two of us. somehow the superior double room that i booked was only for one person. the receptionist was not helpful at all and had quite an attitude.
