really good visit

quality beddingspacious roomlimited opening
The location proved ideal for visiting the gardens. i particularly loved the quality bedding and spacious room. It made for a restful night. i was also grateful for the free entry to the national trust site after breakfast. this unexpected bonus significantly enhanced my stay.
i found the bar's limited opening hours inconvenient, especially since it meant i couldn't get a drink in the evening. this required me to find alternative dining options elsewhere, not ideal. a small fridge in the room would improve the experience.

The inn provided free entry to the stourhead national trust site. this allowed early access before the crowds. the staff were friendly and cute. Nothing seemed like too much trouble.
Location

adequate stay with some issues

old conditionsealed window
the room was excessively warm and felt outdated the lack of proper curtains allowed too much light in early morning. the bathroom window was sealed shut due to its fragile condition preventing ventilation. noise disturbances occurred throughout the night and the mattress showed significant wear and tear.

the room was warm, and i could open the windows to get some fresh air (which i appreciated). the bedding was very nice and white. the bathroom was also very clean.
some staff members were disinterested, i found. the rooms felt a little tired. our room had a broken bedstead and some holes in the carpet, unfortunately.

pleasant stay overall

garden accessbreakfast qualitycoffee machinelow pressurehand-held showerpower point
the location provided free access to the gardens. breakfast was good. the bed was comfortable, and there was a proper coffee machine in the room.
the bathroom lacked a stand-up shower. there was only a bath with a hand-held shower head, but the water pressure was very low. charging my phone was inconvenient because of the lack of accessible power points.
