gin tonic open courtyard yoga service incorrect bills breakfast charge double occupancy

I enjoyed the cute gin and tonic upon arrival. I found it a NICE touch. Breakfast in the open courtyard was also great. The yoga for us as a couple was wonderful!!!

They charged me for bills that were NOT mine.

mixed feelings about this haveli

impractical room challenging alcove

the location was acceptable. the hotel provided proximity to central areas.

The room i occupied presented problems. it felt impractical. The kettle and minibar were in an alcove. this alcove required stepping up, a challenge i did not appreciate.

The courtyard provides a relaxing space. The breakfast buffet has many options. The room included useful toiletries. Each staff member offered prompt help.

The staircase to my room did lack reliable lighting.

Decent but Overpriced Stay

inconvenient light slow service

The building does include some period features I guess.

My room needed more attention to detail. The light switch was, oddly, outside the room, quite inconvenient. service at the pool was slow. The staff did not seem eager to help. It was hundreds of dollars more.

a real gem in the city!

friendly staff room upgrade delicious cake efficient service

the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. i got upgraded to a larger room and the hotel surprised me with a delicious cake for my birthday (it was totally unexpected!). the room was really big and clean, with a great ac system. i also used the laundry service and got my clothes back on the same day.

the restaurant prices were a bit higher than other 5-star hotels i have visited.

the team arranged for an early check-in and a late check-out (depending on availability). they also helped plan the city tour and arranged a staff member to show me around a local palace. the overall service was prompt and courteous.

my room included a claw-foot tub and impeccably clean space, and the ac worked really well (a must in the indian heat!). the room felt luxurious, and i appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout my stay (like extra towels!).

the pool area was lovely (it has a very relaxing vibe!). the hotel also includes shops that are easy to access and provide gifts to bring back for family and friends. the shops offered a variety of unique, locally-made items.

colonial times expensive food

the pool area seemed ok.

The restaurant staff seemed to favor foreign guests. I was like i was back in colonial times. a particular staff member seemed to only serve foreigners, off-putting. also, the food prices were double what you would pay at other five-star hotels.
