wonderful surprise at hotel nikko
spacious room city views comfortable bed modern decor
the beautiful king room was spacious and offered wonderful city views. i found the bed comfortable. the room featured modern decor and a pristine, well-kept bathroom, i found it good! the hotel provided high-speed wi-fi throughout the premises.
i noticed the elevators could be a bit slow during peak hours. though, it didn't significantly impact my overall experience.

the hotel includes a well-equipped fitness center with treadmills and weights. i also noticed a heated indoor pool is available . laundry and dry cleaning services are also available for an extra fee.

shallow end odd swimming pool
The entire team was friendly and professional. I interacted with the daytime front desk, overnight front desk, and the team handling bags. I had consistently positive experiences.
The swimming pool was odd. The shallow end is only 80cm deep, and the deep end is only 1.3m. It was hard to swim lengths, and tumble turns were impossible. The spa area had no punch-bags for boxing, just machines.

friendly staff adequate room small gym homeless individuals
the staff was friendly. i also found the room to be adequately sized and clean. it was a Beautiful king room. i slept well.
the gym was small and felt a little inadequate. i also noticed homeless individuals around the hotel. WALKING anywhere after dark felt unsafe. this was a concern.

Wonderful Hotel Experience
clean room comfortable bed helpful staff
The room was perfectly clean and quite cozy, particularly the Beautiful King Room. I found the bed comfortable. I appreciated the heated toilet seat and the great shower. Staff were awesome and helpful . Security was visible and present, which I found reassuring.
I experienced a mandatory charge for amenities despite not using them. I was told they could not add this to the daily rate upfront, which I found inconvenient.

Breakfast included excellent quality ingredients and was one of the best I have ever had. Eggs and toast were cooked to perfection, it was really great. The staff at the restaurant were very polite.

The hotel offered a gym and sauna, both very convenient, for keeping up with my exercise. The swimming pool was excellent, great for a great relaxing atmosphere. I was grateful for all the equipment provided there.

mixed feelings about the stay
closed swimming pool messy room
the staff were friendly! but the wi-fi was slow.
the pool was closed, i wasn't told this when i booked, so i was still charged for amenities. the room was messy, there was trash on the carpet and coffee table plus a stain under the table. housekeeping needed to clean it.

a decent experience
bath salts local dogs amenities fee short stay
my room included bath salts, what a nice touch. i also liked the hotels support of the local spca. they had a book for sale, it had photos of local dogs.
the hotel charged a non refundable fee for amenities, i thought this was strange. i did not use any of them, my stay was short so that seemed unfair.

Average Stay with Some Issues
cold pool locked dog terrace
The breakfast was acceptable.
The pool was too cold for swimming, disappointing since I wanted to relax after a long day. The jacuzzi wasn't working either. This impacted my stay negatively. The dog terrace was always locked, requiring me to go outside the hotel each time to access it.
