historic charm and modern comfort

continental breakfast peaceful location high standards helpful staff

Breakfast had many options, including a continental selection with staff being very helpful. the location was quiet. It was also peaceful. all staff worked hard to keep standards so high. i found it excellent.

I noticed some dust on the blinds and a few bits on the floor, and i felt a deep clean could improve the bathroom. It looked not deep cleaned.

on-site chargers spiral stairs ensuite bathroom modern conveniences

The on-site EV chargers were very useful for me. My room was in the turret, located up two flights of spiral stairs. The room included a settee, a TV, and an ensuite bathroom. I had plenty of room and all modern conveniences, despite low beams.

The beams in the turret rooms are quite low.

great location haunted parts late checkout no note

the staff WERE super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. i really liked the history OF the place and the location. the nice lady in the morning showed me the haunted parts.

i arranged a late checkout WHEN I checked in. Apparently whoever checked me in didn't make a note of it. It becomes my problem THE following day when told I don't have a late checkout and i need to vacate. IT WAS frustrating.

the staff were attentive to my needs i appreciate this. i had a lovely big room i also liked its great views. breakfasts were great also an evening meal i really enjoyed it.

the wifi was poor i found this inconvenient.

the staff was very cute and helpful, and i appreciated the quick and well-cooked breakfast. i found the location great for coastal walks. the hotel arranged flowers in the room as a surprise, lovely.

I noticed slightly dusty blinds. Otherwise the room was perfect.
